چکیده

The method of tyramine amplification is based on the ability of HRP to catalyze the deposition of large amounts of biotinylated tyramine in the vicinity of the antigen-antibody reaction (i.e. the cellular site which contains the peroxidase detection complex). The method is based on earlier biochemical observations on the action of peroxidase upon tyramine and other related compounds (GROSS AJ and SIZER IW, 1959). However, the use of peroxidase to catalyze the deposition of phenols as principle for signal amplification in immunoassays was first reported by MN BOBROW et al. (1989). This signal amplification method was called catalyzed reporter deposition (CARD). The novel method made use of an analyte-dependent reporter enzyme (ADRE) to catalyze the deposition of additional reporter on the surface in a solid-phase immunoassay; horseradish peroxidase was used as ADRE to catalyze the deposion of biotin labeled phenols. The deposited biotins were then reacted with streptavidinlabeled enzyme resulting in deposition of enzyme. Consequently, the deposition of additional enzyme resulted in an amplification of the signal of the ADRE alone which improved the detection limit of the assay.

Comparing signal amplification of thiocyanated Gold nanoparticles in the presence of different ions

Detecting is the most important section in all kinds of sensors. In this regard, the amplification of surface plasmon resonance intensity of gold colloids nanoparticles (GNPs) was studied in the presence of several ions. GNPs were synthesized and then capped by thiocyanate and characterized via DLS and TEM image. In the next step the effect of different concentrations of ions such as iron, copp...

Three-wave mixing with three incoming waves: signal-idler coherent attenuation and gain enhancement in a parametric amplifier.

We demonstrate the time-reversed process of nondegenerate three-wave parametric amplification from three distinct sources in the fully nonlinear regime using a Josephson amplifier. In the reverse process, coherent attenuation, signal and idler beams destructively interfere in the presence of a pump to generate additional pump photons. This effect is observed through the symmetric phase-dependen...

A highly sensitive immunofluorescence procedure for analyzing the subcellular distribution of GABAA receptor subunits in the human brain.

We designed a protocol to improve the immunohistochemical analysis of human brain structures, which overcomes the limited detection sensitivity, high background, and intense autofluorescence commonly associated with human tissue. This procedure was evaluated by using antibodies against major GABAA receptor subunits (alpha1, alpha2, alpha3, gamma2) in autopsy and surgical specimens. Tissue block...

Enhancement of Noise Performance in Digital Receivers by Over Sampling the Received Signal

In wireless channel the noise has a zero mean. This channel property can be used in the enhancement of the noise performance in the digital receivers by oversampling the received signal and calculating the decision variable based on the time average of more than one sample of the received signal. The averaging process will reduce the effect of the noise in the decision variable that will approa...
